Holding notable qualifications such as M.B.B.S, M.S, D.N.B (CTVS), MNAMS, MBA, and a diploma in dyslipidaemia from the University of Boston, Dr. Das is not only a highly skilled surgeon but also a dynamic leader in the medical community.

Dr. Das served as the Secretary of the Heart Care Society of Assam, Guwahati Chapter, and holds the esteemed position of President at the North East Chapter of the Telemedicine Society of India. Additionally, he is the founding Secretary of the North-East Health Association, showcasing his dedication to advancing healthcare initiatives in the region.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Dr. Das has received prestigious awards such as the Biju Phukan Award in 2020, the Bytikram Award in 2021, and the Clinical Innovation Award from Apollo Hospital in 2023. Notably, he performed the first-ever bloodless open-heart surgery and the ascending to descending thoracic aorta bypass, a complex procedure rarely undertaken in the region. His dedication to innovation extends to pioneering Stem Cell Therapy in North-East India.

Engaging actively in clinical research, Dr. Das serves as a principal investigator in numerous national and international clinical trials. His expertise in good clinical practice is acknowledged by certificates from Duke University, London, Quintiles International, USA, and NIDA Clinical Trials Network, USA.

A life member of esteemed medical organisations, Dr. Das contributes to teaching and has held various roles, including faculty positions and committee memberships. His pursuit of excellence extends beyond medicine, holding an MBA and a Master Certificate in Business Management.

Additionally, Dr. Bikash Rai Das is the proud author of the upcoming book titled "Skipping the Heartbreak: A Comprehensive Guide for Awareness of Heart Disease," which is currently in press and about to be released.
